JOIE DE VIVRE GIVES
Joie de Vivre Hotels is a grass roots organization that strives to have a positive impact on our community. Each of our hotels is dedicated to donating at a minimum $200 per guest room per year to organizations in their communities.
As an extension of Joie de Vivre Gives, each hotel participates in the You Can Make a Difference program launched in April of 2008. The primary objective is to engage our guests by giving them the option to add an additional $1 of their total bill for each night they stay with us. Guests are able to opt out of this program at check-out.
The Citizen Hotel's philanthropic partner in the You Can Make a Difference program is the Child Abuse Prevention Center. Their mission is to protect children throughout Sacramento County from the risk or impact of abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

JUNIOR SUITE
The Citizen Hotel's Junior Suites feature a king-sized bed covered in luxury linens and high-thread-count duvets. These rooms feature a 32" HD LCD TV and DVD player, plus a desk with ergonomic chair in the comfortable sitting area.
ONE BEDROOM SUITE
Citizen Hotel's One Bedroom Suite features a king-sized bed with luxury linens, down pillows and duvet, a period tiled bathroom featuring an extra-deep soaking tub with a view of the city, and a separate living room with a sitting area, a large desk and an ergonomic chair.
PENTHOUSE SUITE
Located on the Citizen's key-access-only penthouse level, our luxurious Penthouse Suites have all our normal amenities plus much more. Enjoy sweeping views of downtown Sacramento, the California State Capitol or Cesar Chavez Park from your 400-square-foot shared balcony. Have a soak in the extra-deep, jetted tub while listening to your premium sound system. Enjoy a cocktail at the built-in wet bar, or gather your friends in the Big Four private lounge, available only to our Penthouse-level guests. Each of our Penthouse Suites feature a separate living room and a king bed with luxury linens and duvets, topped with oversize pillows.
Governor's Suite
The top of the Citizen gives you all our normal amenities plus much more. Enjoy sweeping views of the State Capitol and the Cathedral from your 400 square foot shared balcony. The Governor's Suite features a King bed decked out in luxury linens and duvets, topped with oversize pillows and a separate living room and half bath. Enjoy soaking in the extra deep jetted tub while listening to the Bose sound system or enjoy a cocktail at the built in wet bar.
